Lucky dream
Dragon
The dragon is a top-tier auspicious symbol — great success, power, and rising to a higher place. A dragon ascending to the sky foretells achievement and honor. As a conception dream it promises a remarkable, gifted child.
It depends how it appeared
The same symbol is read differently depending on what happened in the dream.
- It rose into the sky
- The highest form of the highest symbol. A rising dragon was read as standing rather than money — a name that carries.
- You rode it
- Read as directing the thing rather than watching it — the older books tied it to holding a position, not merely reaching one.
- A carp turned into it
- The old story of the carp climbing the dragon gate. Read as a rise earned by climbing rather than one given.
- It stayed in the water, or could not rise
- Read as a thing not yet come out — capability without the moment for it, in the older reading, rather than a failure.
- You dreamt it while expecting a child
- The taemong families talk about for years. Read as a child of rare standing, and more often as a son, though families differ.
