A pregnancy dream rarely means a literal pregnancy. It symbolizes something growing in your life — a plan, a talent, a new venture taking shape. It is generally hopeful: something you are nurturing is developing well.

- Read as something of your own growing quietly — far enough along to be felt, not yet far enough to show.
- A man dreamt it
- Read no differently. The tradition treats the symbol as being about what is growing, and it never restricted the dream to women.
- Someone else was pregnant
- Read as something growing near you rather than in you — work you are part of, or someone else's beginning you have a hand in.
- You were actually expecting when you dreamt it
- Then it is not this page. A dream during pregnancy is read as a taemong, and what was in it — the animal, the fruit, the object — is what carries the meaning.
