- The kind form. Read as a quiet ally, someone who helps without announcing it, which is why they are easy to miss.
- The cat hissed or scratched you
- The caution this symbol is known for. Read as rivalry or a small betrayal nearby, and the old advice was to keep plans quiet for a while rather than to confront anyone.
- It was a black cat
- Read more gently in Korea than in the West. The colour was not the warning; what the cat did was.
- There were several cats
- Read as talk rather than danger, more eyes on you than usual, which the older reading treated as a reason to say less, not to worry.
