It depends
Wedding
What it means
A wedding dream is about union and a big life change. In the older Korean tradition it can read in reverse — a bright wedding sometimes hints at a coming worry or a farewell, while a quiet or unusual ceremony can point to good news. More gently, it reflects a new bond, a fresh commitment, or two parts of your life joining.
It depends how it appeared
The same symbol is read differently depending on what happened in the dream.
- It was your own wedding
- Read as a decision rather than a marriage. The tradition took it as two parts of a life joining, which is why it appears before job changes as often as before weddings.
- The wedding was bright and crowded
- This is where the old reading runs backwards. A splendid wedding was read as worry or a parting approaching, one of the clearest reversal readings Korea kept.
- It was quiet, and the place was unfamiliar
- The good form under the reversal, and the one nobody expects. A plain, unfamiliar ceremony was counted as good news coming.
- You were a guest at someone elses wedding
- Read as a change happening beside you rather than to you. The old books asked whose wedding it was, because that named the person.
- The ceremony went wrong, or did not happen
- Read gently, and often as relief. Under the reversal a wedding that fails to happen was not a bad sign, and was sometimes read as the better one.
