It depends
Ex-partner
What it means
Dreaming of an ex is rarely a sign they are coming back. More often it mirrors unfinished feelings, a lesson from that time, or a part of yourself you met through them. A warm, peaceful dream can mean you are ready to let the past rest; a tense one points to something still asking to be understood and released. Take it as closure work, not a prediction.
It depends how it appeared
The same symbol is read differently depending on what happened in the dream.
- The dream was warm, and you parted well
- The good form. Read as the ending having finished on the inside, whatever it looked like at the time.
- It was tense, or you argued
- Read as something left unsaid rather than something coming. The older reading pointed at the sentence you never got to finish.
- They were with someone else
- Not read as news about them. Taken as your own mind marking that they have moved on — which is a thing being finished, not a thing happening.
- You keep dreaming about them
- The one worth saying plainly: repetition was read as unfinished business with yourself, not as a sign about them. It thins out as the business closes.
